From the Student’s Mouth

From the Student’s Mouth

Here’s an interesting letter from a student in Toronto that confirms that Darwinism is only taught as fact, and all contravening evidence is swept under the rug as if it doesn’t exist.

I am a fourth-year biology student at York University, and I have taken enough evolution courses to know that the theory is full of holes.

For one thing, the evolutionist method of dating the earth (estimating its age) is faulty and inconclusive. Professors fail to teach that there is also scientific evidence that shows that the earth is less than 10,000 years old. Furthermore, many scientists teach that evolution progresses by the gradual accumulation of “favourable” mutations. However, for fish to evolve gradually into people, there would have to be an increase in the information content of the genetic code, and mutations only serve to corrupt the existing information, much like defects on a computer’s hard drive.

Oh yeah, did I mention that he’s studying biology!

As much as Darwinists try to deny it, opposing evolution is not done only because one is ignorant of the topic.  (I’ve been accused of being ignorant of evolution by commenters on this very site simply because I don’t believe in it.)  Sometimes it is the act of learning more about it that leads people to disagree with it, especially when one learns about the problems in the theory.  This is what frightens the Darwinists the most.

    What a bunch of nonsense.

    1. York University is in Toronto, not in California.

    2. The student mentions that there is evidence pointing to a young Earth but doesn’t say what it is. Maybe you can expound on that, since you seem to agree.

I can go on, but let’s see whether you have anything to say.

  2. Mr. Tchernyshyov,
You are correct, York is in Toronto, not California. Not being familiar with York, I made an incorrect assumption. Thank you for catching that, I’ve made the correction above.

As for my views on YEC, I’ve expounded on those before, but of course you completely missed the point, so it’s not worth going over. Why am I surprised that you couldn’t grasp the argument? My guess is that you did and you are simply trying to focus on other areas to avoid having to deal with an uncomfortable reality. Thanks for playing anyway.

What uncomfortable reality? That the world is 6,000 years old? Pray tell.

  4. Why do you persist in not following the argument? I can only conclude that you are doing it on purpose or that you are blinded by your a priori materialistic biases. In going with the latter on this one. Thank you for making so many of my points for me.

I’ll spell it out for you. The uncomfortable reality is this:

As much as Darwinists try to deny it, opposing evolution is not done only because one is ignorant of the topic.

You’re putting words in my mouth. I never said that the student was ignorant. I said that he had failed to make an argument. There is no evidence that the Earth is 6,000 years old and professors don’t hide it. Care to object?

  6. It’s a common Darwinist argument that only those who are ignorant of evolution reject it, and those who truly study it don’t reject it. That view has been shown wrong here.

Your other comments about the age of the Earth are completely non sequitor and off topic.
